Amperes
Amperes Electronics was setup in mid 1999 in Puchong, near the capital of Malaysia – Kuala Lumpur, as a small partnership company. It was later incorporated in Private Limited company in the year 2000. It was relatively a very small setup with principal activities centered around making customized accessories for the installation of audio visual systems. Among the items were microphone panels, speaker monitor panels, zone selectors, etc.
What were produced then were well accepted and with streams of support and encouragement from our clients, we went further to making standardised finished product. Being a young player and in a relatively infant market, roads were never easy when we had to compete with rather established brand from abroad, especially from USA and Europe.
However, opportunities knocked when the Asian financial crisis were at its height. Dropped in local currency had forced the market to look for alternative products, and Amperes never missed the boat. From then, Amperes had slowly step into the market normally dominated by European and Japanese brands.
As more and more items are added to its list, it was time that an identity was needed and from then on, Amperes has been synonymous with Public address systems.
